Muscat: Ministry of Tourism achieved an advanced position at Social Impact Index “Klout Score”.
The Ministry achieved 71 points as of mid-August 2016 which made it on top of the most interactive and affecting public organisations in its accounts on the social networks.
Klout Score measures the impact of a certain account on users of social networks by measuring the interaction by others with the content published.
The score measures and analyses the data of certain organisation on different social networks, such as twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, 4 Square, Wikipedia and Instagram to give ranking from 1 to 100 points. It defines the effect as the ability to initiate action. The more points you have, the more effective you are.
The contribution of social networks to the Ministry of Tourism’s score came as follow: 25 per cent from Facebook, 42 per cent from twitter, 7 per cent on Instagram, 3 per cent on Google Plus and 23 per cent on YouTube.
