Oman education: North Batinah bags top spot in results

Muscat: Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education has approved the results of educational activities contests organised at the Sultanate’s level for the academic year 2015/2016.
North Al Batinah Governorate has won the first place in the general category results of the contests followed by Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and Muscat Governorate, respectively.
In the field of school media, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate won the first place followed by North Al Sharqiyah Governorate and South Al Batinah Governorate, respectively.
Student Al Anoud bint Isa bin Salim Al Aufi from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate won the second place in the Rhetoric and traditional Arabic speech contest organised by Egypt’s Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Arab League.
She also won the first place at the local level. Al Husain Ali Al Aghbari from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate won the first place in the Arabic language .
Abdulwadood Ali Al Balushi from North Al Batinah Governorate won the first place in the short story writing (class 5-8) while Obaid Al Ka’abi (from Al Buraimi Governorate) won the first place in the same contest for class ( 9-12).
Al Zahra bint Ali Al Manei (class 5-8) from North Al Batinah Governorate won the first place and Al Zahra bint Salim Al Habsi (class 9-12) from North Al Sharqiyah Governorate won the first place in the short story writing category.
Mohammed Idris Al Shahi from Musandam Governorate won the first place in the field of essay writing for (class 5-8 category).
Abdullah Musalam bin Hardan from Dhofar Governorate won the first place for ( class 9-12 category).
For the female category in the same contest of essay writing the first place went to Nasiba bint Ali Al Kindi (class 5-8) from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate while Tamadhur bint Ali Al Shekaili (class 9-12) won the first place .
Ahmed Salim Ali Al Shidi (class 5-8) from North Al Batinah Governorate won the first place in the field of poetry. Mutasim Mohammed Al Kharousi from South Al Batinah Governorate won the first place in the same contest for (class 9-12 category). -ONA
The contests also covered the fields of essay writing in marine environment, social and voluntary work contests, best video presentation contest, fine art contest, musical skills and chess among other fields.
