Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, today patronised the military music show organised by the Royal Opera House Muscat on the occasion of the 54th Glorious National Day.
The 3-day concert is a continuation of the annual military music shows presented by the house in the glorious month of November, with the participation of Omani military bands alongside a number of international bands to celebrate this happy occasion.
On the Omani side, the musical bands of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman, the Royal Oman Police, in addition to the Royal Cavalry, the Royal Camel Corps, the Scout Band, and the Infantry Team of the Royal Army of Oman will participate.
These bands provide an ideal opportunity to watch the high-precision military parade performances, listen to bagpipes, drums, wind instruments, and other selected performances. Within the framework of the close relations that bind the Sultanate of Oman with the countries of the world, reflecting Oman’s openness to the outside world, this year, friendly countries participated in the event, including musicians and performers from Jordan and Austria, embodying communication with the Sultanate of Oman and enriching this event by presenting traditional military performances specific to their countries, which are famous for their beautiful costumes.
The audience in the main square of the Royal Opera House Muscat watched performances of artistic skills in beautiful formations to the tunes of military music, in addition to watching performances by percussion bands in a ceremony that includes various heritage segments. The show also includes the participation of a group of the most skilled Omani musicians.
