One dead, four rescued as vehicle gets swept away in Al Dakhiliyah

Muscat: A tragic incident occurred on the Azki-Sinaw road where a vehicle with five people on board got trapped in the Wadi Andam stream, as a result, one person has died. 

Four people were rescued and transported to the hospital, while unfortunately, a child was swept away and later found dead. The Royal Oman Police has urged people to exercise caution and avoid crossing valleys during such weather conditions.

Royal Oman Police said: “Report was received about a vehicle with five people trapped in the Wadi Andam stream on Azki-Sinaw road.”

This is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers of flash floods and the importance of heeding weather warnings.
