Weather forecast: Cloudy skies and rains expected in parts of Oman

Muscat: Most of the Sultanate of Oman's governorates is expected to witness flow of high and medium clouds. Possible thunderstorms in parts of Al Wusta Governorate, specifically Mukhaizna and Haima.

In general the weather forecast for today may be partly to fully cloudy with intermittent drizzle and potential rain along the coast of Dhofar governorate. Chance of clouds and isolated rain associated with thunderstorms in the afternoon over Al Hajar Mountains.

Chances of low-level clouds or fog patches along parts of the coastal areas of the Arabian and Oman Sea.

The General Directorate of Meteorology cautioned regarding reduced visibility due to dust in desert and open areas.
