Store owner duped in North Al Batinah; one arrested

Muscat: An individual who pretended to make an electronic payment for purchases was arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in North Al Batinah.

Royal Oman Police said: "North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrests a person for defrauding a seller in a store and tricking him into paying the value of the purchased goods via bank transfer over the phone."

"The legal procedures against the accused are in process," ROP added.
