Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) has urged citizens and residents to investigate the sighting of the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement: "The main committee to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhul-Hijjah for this year 1445 AH will meet tomorrow evening, Thursday, at the General Office of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, calling on citizens and residents to investigate the sighting of the crescent."
If the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah moon is confirmed tomorrow, the first day of Eid Al Adha will be on Sunday, June 16, 2024 but if sighting of the crescent is not confirmed, then Monday, June 17, 2024 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha.
