Environment, climate affairs minister receives Qatari environment minister

Muscat: Mohammed bin Salim Al Tobi, Minister of Environment and Climate received in his office yesterday Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, Minister of Municipality and Environment in the State of Qatar and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.
The two sides reviewed means of enhancing the joint cooperation between the Sultanate and Qatar, within the framework of encouraging cooperation and sharing experience with the sisterly and friendly countries in scientific, research and academic fields, in addition to the importance of enhancing cognitive exchange in the environmental and climate affairs areas.
The two sides also reviewed the advanced experience to protect environment and combating pollution, as well as benefiting from the international experiences and activating them to promote sustainable development level.
The Qatari guest toured Al Qurum Nature Reserve during which he familiarised himself with its natural components and the exerted efforts in protecting marine organisms and birds, besides reviewing the planting of mangroves.
