Muscat: Oman Air has achieved first place in the Middle East and Africa for the best on-time performing airlines, according to the results of the 2023 on-time performance review conducted by the global travel data analysis company “Cirium”.
The award was received by Captain Nasser bin Ahmed Al Salmi, Chief Operating Officer of Oman Air, during the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai, by Jeremy Bowen, CEO of Cirium International.
Captain Nasser bin Ahmed Al Salmi said that achieving the highest rate of performance on time is evidence of the company’s continued commitment and reliability in the field of air travel and a testimony to dedication, hard work and tireless pursuit of providing comfort and excellence in all elements of the passenger experience.
The CEO of Cirium International explained that the on-time performance indicator is a competitive matter, especially in the Middle East and Africa region. The CEO stressed that Oman Air won the award for the most punctual company in the Middle East and Africa with a score of 92.53, which is the highest percentage among airlines globally.
On the other hand, Oman Air announced, during its participation in the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai, the increase in the frequency of its flights to many of its destinations during the summer season, including Bangkok, Phuket, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Milan.
