Muscat: 378 labour law violators were arrested last week by the Ministry of Manpower and police.
The weekly index issued by the inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower showed 378 laborers who violated the regulations for the labour law between 24 and 30 July 2016.
304 were commercial workers, 42 were domestic workers while 32 were farmers.
365 of the laborers who were arrested by the ministry’s team where through thorough inspections, 167 were found absconded workers, 172 were released and 26 were referred to the ministry by a third party.
