One arrested in Oman for selling immoral objects online

Muscat: A person found selling ‘immoral objects’ online has been arrested, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The Department of Criminal Investigation in Al Khoud Police Station, led by the Muscat Governorate police command, arrested a person on charges of promoting and trading in 'immoral and disgraceful items'.

A source at ROP said that the centre “received a report about a person who was selling immoral objects via social media. After investigating, evidence was collected against the accused and he was subsequently arrested."

According to the police, "the accused confessed when questioned. Legal action has been taken against him."
