Muscat: Karwa Motors has launched on Monday intercity buses that can accommodate 45 passengers. Karwa Motors, a subsidiary of the Oman Investment Authority and Qatar Transport, launched a new type of bus which can accommodate 45 passengers according to Gulf standard specifications and approved specifications for buses operating in the oil and gas sectors.
Today, the company celebrated the delivery of two buses to one of the Omani private sector companies operating in the transportation sector.
Karwa Motors said: "The delivery of the two new buses is an important step for this type of bus to enter the local market, amid good demand from a group of local companies and individuals who have expressed their desire to use this type of bus."
With this new type of bus, Karwa Company is paving the way to enter the local and regional market and raise the production capabilities of the company’s factory located in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm to meet the demand for “Karwa” buses after the success it achieved when used in the Qatar World Cup 2022.
Karwa Motors Company explained in a press release that the two new buses are the first of the type of intercity buses to enter the Omani market. Adding that orders from a group of local customers are in progress, and will be delivered within the next few months.
