Oman Customs thwarts attempt to smuggle 'khat'

Muscat: Oman Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle quantities of the khat drug into the Sultanate of Oman.

Oman Customs said in a statement: "Sarfeet port customs foils an attempt to bring in quantities of the khat drug, which were professionally hidden in the trunk cavities of the vehicle."
