Muscat: Three dead bodies have been recovered following search and rescue operation of two vehicles that had drifted in a valley stream in the Wilayat of Mahdah, Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), has said.
The Department of Civil Defence and Ambulance in Al Buraimi Governorate had received a report on Saturday, about the drifting of two vehicles carrying seven people, in a valley stream in the Wilayat of Mahdah. Four of them were rescued, and the other three were declared missing.
CDAA had confirmed the third perosn’s death after the search operation conducted in cooperation with the Buraimi Governorate Police Command, and the citizens.
After search operations were conducted "in cooperation between the Civil Defense and Ambulance Departments, and the Police Command in Al Buraimi and North Al Batinah Governorates, the two missing persons were found dead," CDAA said in a statement.
The authority thanked the citizens for their cooperation with the civil defence and ambulance personnel during the search operations.
