Muscat: The trough of low pressure will continue to affect the Sultanate of Oman during the coming days, said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The latest weather maps and analyzes of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center indicate the continuous effect of a trough of low pressure on the Sultanate of Oman during coming days.
Advection of clouds over most of the Sultanate's governorates will continue with chances of isolated rain ( 10 - 30 mm ) may cause flash floods over South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.
While over the rest of the governorates weather will remain cloudy to partly cloudy with chances of isolated rain. Cloud development is expected over Mountains with chances of isolated rain occasionally thundershowers may extend to the desert areas and be associated with fresh downdraft wind and blowing dust.
The sea will be moderate to rough along Oman sea coast with maximum wave height ranging between 1.5-2.5 meters, and rough along the Arabian Sea coasts with a maximum height of 4 meters.
Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precaution when crossing valleys and sailing, and to follow the issued weather bulletins.
