Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is expected to be affected by a trough, from Monday, July 24, 2023 over a period of two days until Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

The latest analysis of the National Centre for Early Warning of Multiple Risks shows that the atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman may be affected during the coming days by a trough extending from an air depression.

Clouds are expected to flow over most of the governorates of the Sultanate, with chances of isolated rain (10-30 mm), starting tomorrow evening, Monday, over South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, and gradually extending on Tuesday and Wednesday to include Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates. The weather will be partly cloudy in the rest of the governorates, with the possibility of isolated rain.

Forecasts also indicate activity of cumulus clouds over the Hajar Mountains during this period, and occasional thunderstorms.

The sea will have medium to rough waves on the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with a maximum height ranging between (1.5-2.5 metres), and rough waves on the coasts of the Arabian Sea, with a maximum height of four metres.
