Salalah: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology announced the readiness of the roads leading to the Dhofar Governorate, after the completion of maintenance and traffic safety work, starting from the border crossings to the various tourist sites in the Dhofar Governorate.
The ministry also carried out maintenance work for roads and their components, which consisted of repairing damage to a number of roads due to the climatic conditions, maintenance of the mountain and desert dirt road network, filling of potholes, removing dust, and levelling works for roads, in addition to maintaining and replacing guiding regulations and concrete paint and protection works.
The Ministry’s work teams continue to monitor the roads 24 hours a day, especially with regard to removing sand accumulated on some roads as a result of the monsoons during the fall season.
