ROP urges Dhofar motorists to exercise caution

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has advised motorists to exercise caution due to the decrease in the level of horizontal visibility throughout Dhofar governorate, as a result of fog formation in the fall season.

The General Directorate of Meteorology said in today's weather forecast that the coastal areas of Dhofar governorate and adjoining mountains have partly cloudy skies with a chance of intermittent drizzle.

Adding that, there are chances of high and medium cloud advection over most governorates, as well as chances of convective clouds development and isolated rain over parts of Al Hajar Mountains towards the afternoon.

In addition, there are chances of low level clouds or fog patches at late night or early morning along parts of coastal areas of the Oman and Arabian Sea, with a chance of dust rising over the deserts.
