ROP clarifies regarding sale of 4WD for expats in Oman

Muscat: Expatriates are not prohibited from owning (4WD) vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Thrusday, July 6, 2023 in a clarification after false news circulated in this regard.

ROP said: “ The Royal Oman Police has been following what was circulated on the prohibition of expat ownership of (4WD) vehicles and would like to clarify that an expat can register the aforementioned vehicles during his/her stay in the Sultanate of Oman.”
