Muscat: Muscat: Heavy rain fell in different parts of Oman on Sunday, leading to overflowing of wadis and cutting off roads, a weather enthusiast said, quoting residents.

“Wadis in Mahdah, Yanqul, Sohar and Jebel Akhdar are overflowing due to the heavy rain,”
he added.
Meanwhile, the residents in the Mahdah area reported that flood water has entered some residential buildings. “Rain started to fall by 1pm and soon the wadis started to overflow,” residents said.
Roads in Jebel Akhdar and Rustaq were cut off due to overflowing wadis, according to Bader.
Oman’s meteorological department also predicted intermittent rains in some parts of Sultanate on Monday. Clouds in the Dhofar region and Al Hajar Mountains will cause intermittent drizzle and fog formation, according to its recent weather forecast.
