Muscat: The Oman Drydock Company (ODC) announced the appointment of Haitham bin Nasser Al Taie as the new general manager for finance and corporate support.
Al Taie, who joins Oman Drydock with 18 years in finance and corporate support, will use his experience to lead improvements in the company’s finance functions. Al Taie previously worked as general manager, treasury, for the Oman Shipping Company (OSC), where he anchored the financing for the construction of giant oil tankers and the success of the company’s financial strategy.
Prior to OSC, Al Taie worked in the banking sector for more than 10 years as head of treasury, in addition to his membership on several committees.
Commenting on his appointment, Haitham Al Taie said, “I look forward to working with the new leadership team at Oman Drydock to achieve the company’s objectives and take the ship repair and maintenance services in Oman to new heights.
“I believe there is a brighter future for Oman Drydock. We will leverage the experience of our talented team to ensure financial sustainability, achieve excellence in carrying out our projects and, most importantly, improve the overall experience of our customers.”
