Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has invited people to donate blood and platelets at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar.
"The Department of Blood Bank Services extends its gratitude and applauds all community sectors who believe in the importance of blood donation. Despite concerted efforts, Blood stock levels have begun to decline as a result of a decrease in the number of blood donors," DBBS said in a statement.
DBBS added that to ensure sustainability and availability of safe blood, it requests the honourable donors to continue their generosity and make a regular voluntary donation.
"The blood donation hours at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar, from Saturday to Thursday, are from 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. Please book your appointment to donate blood via WhatsApp at 94555648," DBBS added.
