Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman has conducted a medical evacuation for a crew member of a merchant ship at sea. He was transferred to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate.
"The Royal Air Force of Oman, using one of its helicopters, carried out a medical evacuation at sea for a crew member of a passing merchant ship near the port of Salalah. The patient, who was in a critical condition, was transferred from the ship to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, by a helicopter to receive the necessary treatment, " Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement.
