Muscat: Announcing tenders for the implementation of the remaining three parts of the Adam-Haima-Thumrait dual carriageway project, with a length of 400 km.

The secretariat clarified that the three parts that were offered for competition to contractors will be limited to local companies specialised in implementing infrastructure projects in the Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through a joint consortium (Omani-Saudi).
His Excellency Engineer Saeed bin Hamoud Al-Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, stated that completing the implementation of the Adam-Haima-Thumrait (Haima-Thumrait) dual road project through a joint Omani-Saudi consortium enhances the existing Omani-Saudi strategic partnership, and opens new opportunities for the private sector in the two brotherly countries.

He added: ”The remaining part will be re-offered to the center of the Wilayat of Haima with a length of (37.5 km) as a public tender for implementation during the coming period to complete the double road from Adam to Haima.”
