Oman Summer Sports programme at Al Hail School of Cricket

Muscat: Al Hail School of Cricket will begin the Summer Sports 2016 programme organised by Ministry of Sports Affairs at the Al Hail Cricket ground in Mabellah from Sunday.
The Ministry of Sports has taken some path breaking initiatives for introducing various sports activities during the summer months.
Under this programme, cricket has been chosen as one of the main stream sport to be introduced. The Ministry has chosen the Al Hail Cricket Club to undertake and lead the cricketing initiative, which is a huge honour and recognition for the Al Hail School of Cricket.
This is the first time ever in the Sultanate's cricketing history that such an initiative is being undertaken. It is even more significant that the responsibility of implementing such an important initiative is being given to an Omani cricket club by the sports body.
"Young cricketers can expect an expertly designed fun-filled two months of cricket coaching, games and cricket skill development, all inside our world class, fully grass ground. All run by our fully qualified, professional coaching team Omani and expatriate experts," said Moula Baksh Al Balushi, the founder of the Al Hail School of Cricket.
The first batch of camps will start on Sunday and run until August 18, while the second batch camp will begin on August 5 and run until August 31.
Each of the camps will last four weeks.
The camp is for boys aged between 5 and 19 years old.
"Whether it’s your first experience of cricket or you are an existing Al Hail School of Cricket trainee and also if you are invited players from other academies, teams and clubs, we guarantee fun, improvement and challenge," said Moula Baksh. " All players should wear suitable cricket clothing, shoes, and are welcome to use their own equipment."
He also pointed out that not more than 400 interested candidates will be accommodated and hence early birds are preferred. "The registration is absolutely free," he noted.
"The plethora of activities will include matches and the entire schedule of the camps can be had from the Al Hail School of Cricket," he added.
Meanwhile, Moula Baksh also mentioned that attractive awards for encouragment will be provided at the end of each camps.
