Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman welcomes the decision of the United States (US) government to resume its membership in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) starting next July.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, the Sultanate of Oman expressed its appreciation for this step, which reaffirms the United States' commitment to international cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture. The Ministry also expressed its support for UNESCO in implementing its noble mission to promote peace, sustainable development, protection of world cultural heritage, dialogue between nations and peoples, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences among them.
