The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance has urged people to cooperate with authorities, and to remain safe, "Dear citizens and residents, last rains have led to many vehicles being swept away and various people missing. your cooperation with us protects us all."
Since Friday, May 16, the governorates of Southern and Northern Sharqiyah have been experiencing varying degrees of rainfall, as a result of a low-pressure system over the sultanate which is predicted to end on Wednesday, Mar 22.
The Public Authority for Civil Aviation announced that Wadi Bani Khalid in Southern Sharqiyah recorded the highest amount of rainfall on Saturday, May 18, compared to the result of the Sultanate with a total amount of 90.6 mm.
