Muscat: Embassy of India, Muscat in association with Oman’s G20 team successfully organized a Beach Cleaning Drive at Shati Al Qurum Beach on Sunday. The initiative was organized as part of India's ongoing G20 Presidency, with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement.
The Beach Cleaning Drive witnessed a participation of more than 100 volunteers, including students and members of Oman's G20 team. The volunteers actively contributed their time and efforts towards the cleaning and rejuvenation of Shati Al Qurum Beach, making it a more pleasant environment for all.
The esteemed presence of Pankaj Khimji Oman's Sherpa of the G20 Secretariat, and Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, further elevated the significance of this event. During the event, Pankaj Khimji and Ambassador Amit Narang addressed the media, highlighting the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges and the need for continued cooperation between nations.
