Muscat: The Foreign Ministry has expressed the Sultanate of Oman's condemnation of the aggression launched by the Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip and its storming of the Palestinian city of Nablus in the West Bank.
Three Palestinians were killed, and seven others were wounded in the Israeli bombing of a residential apartment in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday night.
Palestinian News Agency stated that an Israeli drone fired a missile at a residential apartment, killing three Palestinians and causing seven injuries, one of which was described as serious, and damage to the property of neighboring Palestinian citizens.
It added that the death toll rose for the third day in a row to 24 martyrs and 64 wounded. Most of them were children and women, some of whom had critical wounds. In addition, destruction was caused to apartments, houses, private properties, sites and agricultural lands.
Condemning this aggression as a violation of international law, Security Council resolutions and international legitimacy, the Sultanate of Oman has appealed to the international community to take deterrent measures against Israel.
Also, the Sultanate of Oman affirmed the resolutions of international legitimacy and the firm Omani positions towards the Palestinian cause, calling for the withdrawal of Israel from the occupied Palestinian territories to the 1967 borders and enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to the principle of the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative.
