Over 45,000 kilograms of vegetables and fruits destroyed in the Central Market

Muscat: A lot of vegetables unfit for human use were destroyed during the first quarter of the year by the Muscat Municipality. This came as a result of more than 3,000 inspection visits to the central market.

Muscat Municipality said: “The Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits Administration carried out 3078 inspection visits during the first quarter of this year, as a continuation of the oversight role played by the Muscat Municipality. “

The municipality added: “The visits included warehouses, shops, and sites selling crops, which resulted in the destruction of 45,864 kilograms of vegetables and fruits unfit for human consumption.”
