Sohar Hospital expansion project worth OMR 28 million set to open in Oman
The Sohar Hospital expansion project will be opened next Thursday, May 11, 2023, at a total cost of OMR 28 million, Ministry of Health, (MOH), said.
The total cost of the expansion of Sohar Hospital was estimated at OMR 28 million to increase the hospital's capacity to over 636 beds (i.e., increasing to 270 beds) in order to keep pace with the demand for specialised health services.
Special efforts by Royal Hospital help reduce waiting time for surgeries
The Royal Hospital is exerting extensive efforts to cut down waiting lists for patients who need surgeries and X-rays. The hospital is undertaking many initiatives and adding health staff to keep pace with the growth of professional operations at a time that health establishments in Oman, like other parts of the world, were impacted by circumstances of Covid-19 pandemic.
