Muscat: The Persian translation of the biography of late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur (May God rest his would), "Reformer on the Throne" has been officially published. The original book written by Russian writer Sergei Plekhanov was translated to Persian by Iranian writer and researcher Maryam Iqbali Zarg.
The Persian version of the book is titled "Afsana Qaboos" and is 317 pages long. It is distinguished from the Arabic and Russian versions by a set of additional photos about the late Sultan's meetings with some Iranian rulers, presidents and world leaders.
The book as a whole is an in-depth exploration of the biography of Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur - may God rest his soul - with the biography and history of the Sultanate of Oman in all its aspects.
The Iranian researcher, Maryam Iqbali Zaraj, confirms in her introduction as a translator of the book that, "A Reformer on the Throne" provides the reader with the opportunity to learn about the wise policies of Sultan Qaboos and his unique role in establishing and leading the urban renaissance in the Sultanate of Oman.
