Three workers die in sand collapse incident

Muscat: Three workers died while they were carrying out road maintenance work in South Al Batinah Governorate.

According to the CDAA, sand debris fell on them while they were carrying out the repair work.

A statement issued online by the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA ), said: "Rescue teams from the CDAA in South Al Batinah Governorate responded to a sand collapse incident involving three workers while they were carrying out maintenance work on the road leading to Wakan village in the Wilayat of Nakhal.”

Rescue teams have recovered the bodies from the debris.
