Expat arrested for attempting to smuggle narcotics

Muscat: An expat was arrested at Muscat Airport for attempting to smuggle 88 capsules of morphine in his body, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.

The anti-narcotics department of Muscat International Airport foiled the smuggling attempt.

According to ROP, “An Asian national was arrested on charges of possession of narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking. More than 88 capsules of, morphine were found inside him.”
