Muscat: A total of 138 expat workers were arrested and deported last month in Al Buraimi, by the Ministry of Manpower (MoM).
Around 82 workers were found violating labour laws in February. While 71 expats were working at a business, 11 workers were part of the private workforce. Out of these 82, 52 workers were labourers who left their jobs, while the other 30 were part of a workforce that was demobilised.
Around the same time, 56 expat workers were deported due to violating provisions of the Labour Law.
