Al Batinah Highway being rehabilitated in Oman
The Al Batinah Highway is one of the important roads that witnesses heavy traffic.

Muscat: The Al Batinah highway is being rehabilitated from South Al Batinah to North Al Batinah.

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is currently implementing a project to rehabilitate the highway in separate locations, starting from the Wilayat of Barka to Khatmat Milaha in the Wilayat of Shinas.

The project works include the replacement of asphalt layers with a total length of 73 km along the Al Batinah Highway in separate locations. This is in addition to repairing damaged iron barriers, installing and replacing guiding regulations as well as ground paint works according to standard specifications approved in the Road Design Manual in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Al Batinah Highway is one of the important roads that witnesses heavy traffic. The Ministry is keen on the necessary periodic maintenance work for it, to ensure traffic safety for road users, and to preserve it as one of the national achievements for infrastructure of the transport sector.
