Muscat : The 11th edition of Middle East Conferences for Strategic Communications (MESTEC 2023) will be held from 13-14 June 2023 at Millennium Hotel, Muscat. It will bring together senior communications professionals to address the industry's biggest challenges, trends and opportunities and discuss how strategic communications can remain relevant in a time of change for the industry.

The conference, organized by Muscat Media Group, a name to reckon with in media segment of Oman, offers a platform for organizations to discuss challenges and opportunities in emerging forms of communication, as well as evolving strategies to keep their audiences better informed. Strategic communication is crucial for organizations to communicate with their external audiences, as it is the link between the organization's mission and goals, and their realisation.

Gulf and Arab Journalism Awards

The MESCTEC 2023 will be held in two segments. The Opening Ceremony will begin with the announcement of the annual Awards for Gulf and Arab journalism and media. This award recognizes individuals or organizations that have played a significant role in expressing Arab identity and unity, and have developed innovative methods of media, public relations, and communication.

This would be followed by the actual conference featuring six sessions spread over two days, with three sessions per day.

Media and Education

The topics have been selected based on the needs of the media industry requirements. The first day topics include: Modern Media's Role in Developing the Philosophy of Education; Media Development Strategy - TV Broadcasting as a Model; and Administrative and Media Strategies to Confront Crises and Emergencies.

Among the topics on the second day are: Modern Media Strategy for Marketing Omani Products and Industries; Modern Public Relations Strategies; and Government Communication and its role in marketing the National Vision.

Celebrated speakers from across the region and outside shall shed light on new communications strategies as they will bring a very rich and diverse experience with them.

Organised by Middle East’s renowned Muscat Media Group SAOC (MMG) founded in 1975 by the late Essa bin Mohammed Al Zedjali and which caters to a growing audience with its strong brands in print, digital, video, and FM radio, the conference will include interesting sessions aimed at uniting the media sector to exchange ground-breaking ideas and cutting-edge solutions, shaping the future of the industry.
