Muscat: The General Directorate of Environment in Dhofar Governorate, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), arrested three citizens who illegally hunted a number of Arabian gazelles.
In addition, all legal measures have been taken with them.
The authority called on all citizens, residents and tourists to not cause any violations against wildlife, and to adhere to environmental laws to avoid legal accountability.
It is worth noting that Royal Decree No. 6/2003 on natural reserves and wildlife conservation emphasised the punishment of violators with imprisonment and fines.
