Muscat: Vanderlande set up a summit clash with Israr Ghala in the Oman Cricket senior knockout T20 final while Mazoon Dairy will take on Earn Trust CT in the final of the junior knockout T20 tournament.
The senior and junior finals will be played at Al Amerat ground on March 17.
In the senior knockout first semi-final, Vanderlande beat Bank Muscat by 25 runs. Batting first, Vanderlande scored 195/3, courtesy Vinayagam Barathwaj’s 87 off 48 balls. Bank Muscat were then bowled out for 170. Haja Hussain claimed four wickets while Aasim Mohammed took three wickets.
The other semi-final witnessed Israr Ghala rout PDO by seven wickets. Batting first PDO were bundled out for 129 in 19.4 overs. Mobeen Mohammed and Mohammed Islam grabbed three wickets each. Israr Ghala chased down the target in 15.4 overs as they scored 130/3.
In the junior knockout semi-final, Mazoon Dairy trounced KCA Deutag by 55 runs. Batting first, Mazoon Dairy scored 193/4 with Yusuf Patanwala top-scoring with 66. KCA Deutag were bowled out for 138 in 18.4 overs. Hemantha Kumar and Patanwala claimed three wickets each.
The other semi-final saw Earn Trust CT score a thrilling nine-run win over Skill Vision and NTS CT. Earn Trust, batting first put up a huge score of 201/6 with Imran Ali smashing 77 of 44 balls. Skill Vision and NTS CT took the game into the final over but fell short by 9 runs as they reached 192/5. Santosh Varikkath was the top run-getter with 94.
