Muscat: Citizens of the Sultanate of Oman can now obtain a six-month tourist visa to visit Russia, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman said.
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation said that starting from March 6, 2023, the Russian government has allowed citizens of the Sultanate of Oman to obtain a regular tourist visa for a period of up to 6 months. This will be on the basis of confirming a hotel reservation or other place of residence.
This came through a statement from the embassy, which was monitored by Times of Oman.
Accordingly, citizens of the Sultanate of Oman will be able to apply for a tourist visa to Russian diplomatic missions or consular departments, by submitting a set of necessary documents that include:
1) A passport valid for a period of no less than 6 months from the date of travel,
2) A filled-out visa form,
3) A receipt for payment of fees of visa and health insurance policy.
Additionally, a confirmed reservation for a hotel or other accommodation is also required.
It is to be noted that the consolidated list of classified hotels, ski resorts and beaches is published on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, as well as on the website of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
