Muscat: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism has taken a new step to enable residents in all the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to apply for a visit visa for tourism purposes electronically. This will allow individuals to explore the various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah rituals, said Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
According to SPA, the Ministry had previously announced amendments to the regulation of visit visas for tourism, issued by Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib. These amendments expand the eligible categories and provide more options for those wishing to visit the Kingdom for tourism purposes.
This comes within the Ministry of Tourism's efforts to provide an opportunity for residents in the GCC states to visit tourist destinations, participate in tourism and entertainment events, and explore the heritage and historical sites of the Kingdom.
