Oman welcomes reconciliation of Saudi-Iran relations

Muscat:The Sultanate of Oman welcomed the resumption of Saudi-Iranian diplomatic relations and other fields.

”The Sultanate of Oman welcomed the joint tripartite statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China to resume Saudi-Iranian diplomatic relations and to reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months”, reported Oman News Agency (ONA).

The Sultanate has also welcomed the activation of the security cooperation agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the general agreement for cooperation in the field of economy, trade, investment, technology, science, culture, sports and youth.

According to a tweet issued today by the Minister of Foreign His Excellency Badr Al Busaidi, the Sultanate of Oman is hopeful that this step will contribute to strengthening the pillars of security and stability in the region and also in consolidating a positive and constructive cooperation that benefits citizens all around the globe.
