HM The Sultan Greets President of Ghana
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of greetings to President Nana Akufo-Addo of the Republic of Ghana on his country's Independence Anniversary.
In the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sentiments and best wishes to President Akufo-Addo and the people of Ghana.
More than 33,000 registered for Hajj pilgrimage
The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs received 33,536 applications to perform the Hajj rituals. Among them 29,930 were Omanis, and 3,606 were residents.
The applications were submitted through the electronic system and the registration ended on Sunday.
The Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah recorded the highest number of applications, followed by the Governorate of North Al Batinah, and the Governorate of Muscat.
