Muscat: The "Sohar Winter" activities, which are being held in Sohar Market in North Al Batinah Governorate is witnessing a great turnout from various segments of the society.

Saleh bin Saeed Al-Hamdani, a member of the main committee for the "Sohar Winter" activities, explained that the diversity of the implemented activities has so far contributed to the success of these events, stressing that more than 45 activities are being held in the "Sohar Winter" from 4 pm to 10 pm.

He added: An open theater has been prepared to hold cultural and literary evenings, seminars and competitions accompanying the "Sohar Winter" as well as entertainment activities for children, in addition to the heritage tent that displays exhibits of collectibles from the Bedouin environment, hospitality arts, as well as exhibits for the craft house and its traditional handicraft industries.

He pointed out that there are five evenings of eloquent and Nabataean poetry and three literary and historical seminars in cooperation with the Sohar Cultural Council and the Committee of writers and writers of North Al Batinah Governorate, in addition to six main competitions, the cultural competition, Sohar Chess competition, and the most beautiful picture of Sohar competition, in addition to an exhibition.

Al-Hamdani mentioned that there are special booths present for shopping where products include clothes and accessories, nurseries selling flowers and seeds, food products, perfumes, incense and palm fronds.
