Over OMR 76 million collection helps swell State Budget 2021

More than OMR 76 million was collected, recovered and realised in favour of State Budget 2021 as a result of inspection conducted by the State’s Audit Institution (SAI).

This indicates the existence of many positive effects in the action undertaken to achieve direct added value from the procedures of sums’ collection and recovery in favour of the State Budget.

In its operations aimed at enhancing integrity, the SAI dealt with 101 cases against which verdicts were issued and these included cases of forgery in official documents and a party’s use of a forged document, despite being aware of the fraud.
