Muscat: The weather of the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by an air depression at the end of this week, and it will extend until the beginning of next week, an official source at Oman Meteorology said.
The Directorate General of Oman Meteorology stated that the direct impact of the depression will be on the Governorate of Musandam and will extend to parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with sporadic rains.
"Most of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman will witness a noticeable drop in temperatures accompanied by the formation of frost in the mountainous heights during the coming days," the Directorate General added.
Oman Meteorology said that the weather today will be partly cloudy in the Governorate of Musandam, with chances of scattered rain. It will be clear over the rest of the governorates, with the flow of high and medium clouds.
The sea is expected to be moderate to rough and reach 2.5 meters along Arabian Sea and moderate and reach 2 meters along the rest of the coasts.
