Surge in COVID cases forces SQUH to issue new directives

 All staff and visitors to the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) are required to wear face masks from Monday, January 2, 2023. According to a circular issued by SQUH on January 1, 2023, this was needed due to the unfortunate surge in admission of COVID-19 patients in the past few days. In order to avert the spread of the virus among the hospital's staff and patients, it has decided to take the precautionary measures.The Infection Control Department, in conjunction with the Hospital Administration, will continue to monitor the situation to determine the next line of action.
