10,000 saplings of mangrove planted in Dhofar

Muscat: The Environment Authority has planted 10,000 saplings of mangrove in the Wilayat of Shalim and the Hallaniyat Islands, Dhofar Governorate.

"As part of the efforts made by the Environment Authority to implement the national initiative to plant 10 million trees and rehabilitate the khors in the Sultanate of Oman, the authority, in cooperation with the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), has planted 10,000 seedlings of mangrove trees in the khors in the Niyabat of Shuwaimiya that are located in the Wilayat of Shalim and the Hallaniyat Islands," Environment Authority said in a statement.
