Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority has launched the electronic application "Nidaa/CDAA " that enables citizens and residents to submit reports of emergency situations that concern them.

According to Oman News Agency (ONA),  through the "Nidaa/CDAA" application and with a single click, the ambulance gets to people using the (SOS) system. This feature targets people who cannot speak or people with hearing disabilities.

Through the application, it is possible to report emergency situations such as accidents, injuries, loss, collapses, fires, drowning and other emergency cases.

The application also includes many other services, including a request to approve or update emergency, evacuation plans, drills, site security for government and private facilities, and the adventure information, as it is possible to register the trip information, location, and participant data to avoid cases of loss, and to ensure speed arrival in case of emergency. In addition to an interactive map to help find out the nearest civil defence and ambulance centre or the nearest health institution.

The launch of this application stems from the keenness of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority to provide its services to society in a highly professional manner, keeping pace with the digital development witnessed by the Sultanate of Oman in various fields, and for the application to be a direct window to communicate with various segments of society with ease.
