ABQ Seeb International School held its 6thgrade 12 graduation ceremony recently at the Students’ Hub, Middle East College. The ceremony was under the auspices of Sayyed Khalid bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chairman of SABCO Group.
The ceremony commenced with a reading of the Holy Quran before an opening address was given by the school principal, Mr Sharl Prinsloo emphasising the responsibility and duty these young ambassadors have towards Oman.
Prinsloo said: “We are extremely proud of the graduation class of 2021/22. They have overcome a lot of adversity over the last threeyears and we are delighted that they were able to have an in-persongraduation ceremony. ABQ Seeb International School has grown in leaps and bounds over this period and can now proudly take its place as one of the best Cambridge International Schools in the world. These students have not only been prepared academically but they have also been equipped with the necessary 21st-century skills to enable them to make a success of any challenge they may encounter. We are excited to see what they will achieve in the future.”
Abdullah Al Rasbi, a graduating student, gave an inspiring talk encouraging his peers to not only look back but to rather look forward to future successes. This was followed by another graduate,Khuzama Al Harthy, who delivered her speech on behalf of the graduates in Arabic, in which she thanked the school management and teachers for the care and attention they provided during their study period.
The graduates were then presented with certificates by Sayyed Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi and the school’s principal. Special awards were presented for outstanding academic achievements,as well as special contributions to the school.
As graduating student,Rahma Al Lamki, said: “In my six years at ABQ Seeb International School, I have met many people who have had a great impact on my life. I am happy to have had the privilege of graduating amongst these students.”
To close the ceremony, graduates and guests were invited to a special displayof grade 12 artworks, which included several outstanding paintings and sculptures.
Dr Ibrahim Hassan Al Farsi, the father of one of the graduates, said: “No words can describe how happy and proud I am today to celebrate this wonderful occasion. As a parent, the best feeling is to see your child grow up, learn as he or she develops, and then graduate from school. Graduating is a shared accomplishment between students and their families. I am very pleased to have seen this day and I wish all the students further success and accomplishments in their future endeavours.”
